Pokédex & Views
Track every Pokémon across all of your cards. Switch between three grid views — and learn exactly how each one decides whether a Pokémon counts as caught.
How the Pokédex works
The Pokédex lists every National Dex Pokémon. By default a Pokémon counts as caught the moment you own at least one of its cards — any set, any rarity. Progress is tracked overall and per region (Kanto, Johto, …).
Caught = you own a card
Own a single card of a Pokémon and it lights up. The Card and Sprite views use this simple rule.
Language filter
🌐 All / EN / JP / CN scopes every count to that language — only cards in the chosen language count as caught.

The three views: Card · Sprite · Selected
Use the Card / Sprite / Selected switch above the grid. Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you across every device and the app.
Card view
Shows your showcase card face-up for every Pokémon you own — by default the most valuable card you have, or one you pick yourself. Flip it (hover / swipe) to see the sprite. Not-yet-caught Pokémon appear as a greyed-out sprite. Caught rule: you own any card of that Pokémon.
Sprite view
The classic retro look: the pixel sprite faces forward and your card hides on the back (flip to reveal). The caught rule is the same as Card view — owning any card counts.
Selected view
The strict target view. It shows only the showcase card you picked — with no fallback to your other cards. Here a Pokémon counts as caught only when you own that exact selected card, not just any card. Every cell shows one of three states:
You haven't picked a showcase card for this Pokémon. It shows a faded sprite with a crossed-out Pokédex mark.
You picked a target card but don't own it yet — the card shows in black & white and counts as uncaught.
You own your selected card — it shows in full color and counts as caught.
In Selected view the top progress bar and the region totals are recalculated the same way: caught = you own your selected card. Pokémon you haven't picked a card for count as uncaught.
How to mark a card as your Pokédex card
Open any Pokémon's detail page and tap the Pokédex icon on the card you want — it becomes that Pokémon's showcase (Pokédex) card. One showcase card per Pokémon, and the icon lights up red while it's set. You can even pick a card you don't own yet as a target — it shows greyed-out in Card view and powers the Selected view.
Tip: use Selected view when you're chasing a specific print — a particular alt-art or SAR. Card and Sprite answer 'do I have this Pokémon at all?'; Selected answers 'do I have the exact card I want?'.
